Impact: Lead all QA and food safety initiatives at a flagship
facility producing high-volume, consumer-ready products. Ownership:
You'll be the key decision-maker on audits, certifications
(BRC/SQF), compliance (21 CFR 111/117), and internal CAPAs.
Innovation Compliance: Drive a culture that balances cutting-edge
quality practices with hands-on operational execution. People &
Purpose: Join a leadership team that values transparency, trust,
and long-term growth. What You'll Be Doing Leading the QA and Food
Safety department, including direct reports across quality,
sanitation, and documentation teams. Ensuring compliance with
regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA) and third-party standards (BRC,
SQF, GMP). Serving as the site expert on 21 CFR 111 and 117, with
oversight of audits, certifications, and preventive systems.
Training cross-functional teams on Good Manufacturing Practices
(GMPs), sanitation, allergen control, and food defense. Managing
the facility’s pest control, sanitation, and calibration programs
with a strategic and preventive mindset. Investigating quality
issues and customer complaints, while implementing CAPAs and
reporting trends to senior leadership. Collaborating with plant,
R&D, and operations leadership to drive quality improvements
and maintain operational excellence. Preparing for and leading
external audits, client visits, and FDA inspections with confidence
and credibility. ? What We’re Looking For 5 years of experience
leading Quality or Food Safety teams in a food, nutraceutical, or
regulated manufacturing environment. Deep working knowledge of food
safety standards, GMP, HACCP, and quality systems. PCQI certified
and BRC/SQF experienced (certification preferred). Strong
leadership presence—able to coach and mentor others while
maintaining a warm, professional tone. Confident in hosting audits
and representing quality matters at the leadership table.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using digital quality
systems. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a
related discipline required. Tools & Systems You’ll Be Using
