and sportsman racers, engine builders, enthusiasts, OEMs,
automotive and powersports dealers and wholesale distributors. RWB
is headquartered in Mentor, Ohio with sales offices and
manufacturing operations in strategic locations throughout the
United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. This position will be
located in Cypress, CA. Description: The Technical Sales Rep is
responsible for achieving Race Winning Brands sales growth
objectives by providing quality customer service, promoting the
Company's product lines through direct interaction with customers.
With revenue generation and market dominance as the primary sales
goal, direct interaction with customers, influencing and assisting
them by using technical and industry knowledge to provide Race
Winning Brands products that meets their needs. Input and
participation in the technical development of products is
- Establishes and sets up new accounts per Sales Manager's
- Follows up on sales leads and make cold calls on potential
- Receives customer calls and provide product specifications,
technical information, pricing, and delivery to achieve sales and
- Establishes and maintains industry contacts that lead to sales
opportunity and revenue generation.
- Researches and develops potential customers.
- Enters customer orders using designated Company order
- Provides problem resolution and troubleshooting expertise to
customers. Taking responsibility for and make every effort to meet
customer's needs and resolve their product problems.
- Writes customer correspondence.
- Researches and completes descriptive customer RMA's within 5
- Returns messages, e-mails, and voice mails in a timely
- Attends race events and shows as determined by Sales &
- Maintains up-to-date understanding of industry trends and
technical developments that effect target market.
- Promotes new, innovative products to existing customers.
- Works closely and effectively with Engineering/ R&D,
Operations and Sales staff to identify future customer needs.
- Determines and communicates customer satisfaction to Marketing
- Communicates openly, honestly, and constructively using TQ
(total quality) practices.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned.
Education: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year
college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education
and experience. A degree in business and/or marketing is highly
desirable. Experience: Six months to one-year related experience
and/or training. Solid sales skills ARE required. Familiar with
Sport Compact and European markets. Computer Skills: Ability to
fully utilize MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint. Mathematical Abilities: Must be proficient in
mathematical formulas associated with pistons, such as compression
ratio. Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding,
subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; to
perform the four basic arithmetic operations with money; to perform
operations with units such as inch, foot, and yard; ounce and pound
(or their metric counterparts). Must be able to analyze and solve
problems in a logical manner with a high degree of problem
summarization for reporting purposes. Analytical or Reasoning
Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents such as industry
reports. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers/clients
and/or vendors. Ability to apply common sense to carry out
instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form. Ability
to deal with problems involving several limited variables in
standardized situations. Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign
Language, Reasoning) Excellent communication skills (both verbal
and written). Must be able to communicate with both management and
non-management associates. Other Skills (Technical, or Other
