Position Summary DRS Network & Imaging Systems in Cypress, CA is
part of the Electro-Optical and Infrared Systems Group of Leonardo
DRS and has over 30 years of experience in designing and developing
electro-optical/infrared systems for surveillance and targeting
applications. We are seeking a Test Engineer to join the company in
the development of strategic space and weather systems. -This
position will be involved with the design and development of test
programs to measure the functionality and integrity of products and
-services, write test procedures and protocols to assess product
reliability, and evaluates the ability of products to meet
performance standards and specifications. Basic Qualifications and
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related
technical field
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Knowledge of Lab Equipment Operation (Oscilloscopes, DVM,
Frequency Generators, etc.)
- Strong skills with Matlab, Labview, and -MSOffice (Word and
Excel)
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to obtain and retain a security clearance is required
Desired Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of Optical Systems (cameras, telescopes, detectors)
is a plus
- Electrical circuit troubleshooting skills is a plus
- Emphasis on Matlab scripting for automated data processing is a
plus
- Ability to lead a technical group independently
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively at all
levels of the organization Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Support and participate in technical activity
- Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of
products, systems or subsystems -
- May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis
software in the performance of assignments -
- Ability to work independently under supervision of others
- Provide regular reporting of progress and status
- Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting
technical requirements
- Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company
personnel and the customer as required

$69,714/year -- $99,691/year. The pay scale information is a
