Description: Job Title: Systems Engineer 4 Job ID: IMS2 Job Location: Anaheim,CA or Washington, D.C., OR Cape Canaveral, Florida Summary: L3 Harris Technologies has an immediate opening for a expereicned Systems Engineer for the Range & Test Solutions (RTS) business. The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in all aspects of the systems engineering process, will have direct and significant experience designing and testing complex systems, and will be comfortable coordinating teams of technical personnel. Responsibilities: Serve as a lead Systems Engineer in the development, integration, fielding and operational support of various flight test instrumentation systems used to track and collect data from missile flights. Responsibilities will include:

• Provide technical oversight and serve as technical lead on our larger development projects
• Perform systems engineering duties for multiple systems simultaneously
• Provide technical interface with our customers
• Act as technical lead during customer design reviews
• Perform system requirements analysis and system synthesis
• Manage and coordinate system interfaces with other connected systems
• Lead root cause analysis investigations
• Evaluate design changes to assess impact to interfaces
• Oversee system integration activities
• Oversee system test activities including test planning, test conduct and test reporting
• Manage and use company processes to maintain a systematic, documented, comprehensive, and verifiable systems engineering process to be applied throughout the life-cycle of projects
• Provide mentoring to less experienced Systems Engineers
• Contribute to proposal activities
• Must have the ability to travel Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Master of Science or PhD degree is a plus)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
  • 8+ years of direct Systems Engineering experience Preferred:
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
    • Familiarity with DOORS requirements management software
    • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
    • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and cabling diagrams Special Requirements: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Security clearance are required for this position. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $100,000 - $186,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
