DUTIES: - - -Design, develop, modify, and/or test Optum software applications for the healthcare industry in an agile environment. Duties include: architect, build and ship highly scalable systems, libraries and frameworks; contribute to designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements in order to deliver business value; design and develop Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and web micro-services as a part of distributed system design in MicroServices Architecture by using industry standard frameworks; build extensible and reusable User Interface (UI) components and scalable features that are lightweight and responsive for the end user; develop unit test cases for each software component to do independent regression testing; implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by using build automation tools to reduce overall build and deployment turnaround time and cost; build interactive dashboards to get a birds-eye view in to the overall system health; and work with product management and engineering leadership to bring innovative technology and solutions to solve healthcare problems.REQUIREMENTS: - - -Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience involving the following: Java, J2EE, Scala, or Play; RESTful API; Angular or React and Nodejs; MySQL, No SQL stack, MongoDB, PostgresSql or Oracle DB; Object-Oriented design and development principles; UI technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS and CSS; and DevOps, Jenkins Pipelines and Test-Driven Development methodologies.
RATE OF PAY: -$155,000 / per year
