HR Generalist- Cypress, CA
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is searching for an HR Generalist. The HR Generalist will support the Regional HR department and regional distribution sites as directed by the Senior HR Manager. The HR Generalist be responsible for working with the Cypress, CA Operational team to create a valuable associate experience. More specifically, delivering HR Support across multiple levels to help achieve business objectives with a servant leader approach. This role will also provide centralized HR support to other distribution sites across the regional distribution network.--- The HR Generalist will effectively serve associates through high levels of interaction and thrive in showing compassion while deploying and sustaining company protocols.
Primary Responsibilities:

• 
  
• 
  Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  
  
• 
  Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff .
  
  
• 
  Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  
  
• 
  Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  
  
• 
  Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  
  
• 
  Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  
• 
  Approximately 25% travel required to various distribution sites.
  
  
  Position Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources , Business Administration, or related field required .
    
    
  • 
    At least one year of HR related experience.
    
    
  • 
    Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all levels of an organization .
    
    
  • 
    Proficient with MS Office software
    
    
  • 
    Experience with HR systems , timekeeping systems (Workday/ Workforce ) .
    
    
  • 
    Maintains a high level of confidentiality; ability to respond to sensitive inquiries .
    
    
  • 
    Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a high level of complexity .
    
    
  • 
    Excellent listening skills and strong interpersonal communication skills .
