Job Title: Mental Health Coordinator Profession: Health Services Specialty: LPC, LCSW, LMFT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 2nd shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Five (5) years of clinical experience, including two (2) years in a comparable job position License: LPC, LCSW, LMFT certification or licensing in the state of practice required Certifications: None specified Must-Have: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling Description: The Mental Health Coordinator will plan and provide clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature within the facility. Candidates must be able to perform all required functions at a pace consistent with actual job performance requirements. Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on a review of available records and clinical interviews. Provide treatment by developing, implementing, and modifying individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning. Document treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each individual seen. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques through treatments and activities used for individuals in the caseload. Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of individuals. Minimum age requirement is 18 years of age.
