Director Behavioral Health Programs & Services is responsible for
the clinical vision and implementation of new behavioral health
direct care programs and services. Works in partnership with the
Product and Strategy team to execute on the company's behavioral
health clinical vision sets the stage for clinical design and
implementation of a product strategy. Ensures that operational
needs are met and ensures compliance with state/federal health plan
requirements, Medicare guidelines and health plan requirements. The
Director is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of
all call center operations related to crisis call management. Core
duties include management and leadership of processes for the
continuous improvement of the customer experience, customer safety
and quality clinical outcomes. Provides oversight and direction of
the clinical referral line virtual call center operations.
Responsible for ensuring timely response to calls and the delivery
of quality and consistent clinical assessment and referrals, in
accordance with clinical policies and procedures with a focus on
the expert handling of calls from individuals experiencing a
behavioral health crisis --Primary duties may include, but are not
limited to:
- Drives and assists in the design of strategic plans and
management of enterprise-wide, large-scale clinical initiatives,
pilots, and projects promoting quality care.
- Directs and oversees innovation initiatives, data analysis
activities, and evaluation strategies for the crisis stand-alone
product
- Maintains knowledge of innovative clinical best practices and
applies creative solutions across different markets. Build
alliances across the business and clinical leadership teams to
ensure a collaborative, efficient and viable operating model.
- Innovates and implements new or revised models for clinical
strategy functions in response to evolving trends in healthcare
delivery and/or emerging models of care.
- Supports cost management projects through analysis of medical
expense to determine savings for both proposed and implemented
initiatives.
- --Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance
of direct reports.
- Involved in and understanding of regulatory and accreditation
requirements to support NCQA/URAC accreditation and crisis specific
contractual requirements
- Provides oversight of call center to ensure quality,
productivity and telephone standards are met
- Ensures member inquiries are handled in accordance with
performance standards
- Ensures operational performance and budgetary targets are
effectively monitored and achieved. Qualifications What you
contribute?
- Requires MS in a behavioral health field (i.e. social work,
counseling); and 10 years of experience in behavioral health
setting, either provider or payer; or any combination of education
and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Current unrestricted Independent Clinical or Behavioral Health
licensure required.
- Crisis experience strong preferred. Applicable to Colorado
Applicants Only Annual Salary Range*: $109,360--- $136,700 Actual
compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location,
work experience, education and/or skill level. * The salary range
is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible
compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company
may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range
