Job Description:
Yamaha has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. BI Manager to join
our ISD team in CA, Cypress. The Sr. BI Manager will be responsible
for managing all aspects of application maintenance and future
development lifecycle activities, from project initiation to
application development and release management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Responsible for the planning, scheduling, staffing, and
monitoring of development and maintenance tasks for Business
Intelligence Applications.
* Responsible to lead and coordinate technical development
activities across the team for multiple projects for the entire
development lifecycle to final delivery (BO, BW HANA, SAC) to
support the growth of the BI platform.
* Ensure the team provides a high level of operational support and
troubleshooting assistance on BI Reporting application-related
issues working with business daily.
* Prepare visual diagrams and documents of system architecture,
functionality, and process flows. Understand and actively support
Yamaha's application architecture and IT strategy.
* Communicating project/task schedules and status to ISD
Management, YMUS Business Partners, or other ISD teams and project
members.
* Continue the adoption of the ITIL (Information Technology
Infrastructure Library) framework and general best practices for BI
team growth and efficiency.
* Serves as an advisor and expert to business stakeholders, and
other Yamaha IT teams, regarding functional knowledge of Business
intelligence applications (BO/BW on HANA).
* Ability to guide & support the team on design, build
verification, implementation, and maintenance of the SAP BW/HANA
models based on business needs with data from SAP ECC and S4/HANA
applications.
* Keep apprised of new and emerging Analytics/Reporting and Data
Warehouse advancements for existing and future toolsets to improve
application offerings.
* Responsible to achieve approved budgetary levels for the fiscal
year for BI Area, with regards to OPEX and CAPEX budgets as set out
by IT leadership.
* Other activities to include leadership support for new
enhancement projects. Should be able to deliver under minimal
supervision and must demonstrate the ability to communicate with
the business stakeholders and other technical teams effectively.
Experience leading team members and overseeing their career
development and evaluating employee performance.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related
technical discipline, or the equivalent.
* Have overall 10+ years of experience in the IT industry, and
strong technical and communication skills.
* Have 7 years of development experience in SAP HANA 2.0, SAP BW
suite, and Business Objects
* Have 3+ years of experience working and performing in leadership
roles such as Manager or Team leader.
* Experience managing the development of SAP BW 7.5/HANA, BW4HANA,
ECC 6.0, S4HANA, SCM 7.0 BPC10.0, Mixed scenarios of BI/BW and HANA
and also creating BW data models
* Provide operational support and troubleshooting assistance on
software application-related issues working with business
daily.
* Demonstrated experience with SAP HANA modeling objects, with
experience in data acquisition using SDI and sidecar ETL.
* Experience with OData and other integrations to external systems
with technologies such as REST/SOAP.
* Experience with the development of interfaces with other systems
(OpenHub, ABAP, etc.)
* Data integration and extraction with SAP ECC modules (OTC, SD,
APO, EWM, TM)
* Experience with data extraction from S/4HANA is a plus.
* Provide operational support and troubleshooting assistance on
software application-related issues working with business
daily.
* Strong knowledge of the SAP Business Objects suite (Bobj, Webi)
including SAP Analytics Cloud
* Familiar with both traditional waterfall and agile development
methodologies as well as familiarity with change management tools
(preferably Jira) or Service Now
* Excellent communication and analytical presentation skills as
well as problem-solving skills and a learning attitude
* Ability to lead new project workshops for discovery and design
with both business and technical teams to formulate the scope of
requirements and solution design
* Experience leading others and growing junior members to build a
highly productive application team.
Pay Range: $100,698-$188,304 *Yamaha intends to offer the selected
candidate a base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay
is one part of Yamaha's Total Rewards program, our Talent
