Its operations include contract farming, procurement, storage, processing, packaging and distribution. Its rice product portfolio comprises brown, white, steamed, parboiled, organic, quick cooking brown rice, and ready-to-heat rice. Role SummaryThis associate is responsible for supporting Royal -, Daawat - and Indus Valley - Brand growth in North America and is a member of the NA marketing team. They will support the brand strategy based on addressing headroom opportunities via execution of innovation, communication, and activation activities to unlock business growth. They are responsible for the engagement of the North American sales team, with a special focus on the Independent & Foodservice channels as well as the Canadian Business. This associate will be responsible for developing and executing compelling growth plans on the Royal - and Daawat - brands, in line with overall portfolio strategy. They will also act as commercialization leader for product launches in the Independent (ethnic) and Foodservice channels, in addition to the Canadian market. They will have a good deal of interaction with and leadership of cross functional teams and external US agency partners, including consumer promotions, digital, and public relations agencies. This position is located at our North American headquarters in Cypress, California, in a hybrid schedule (2 days remote, following 90 days in role).Key Responsibilities

  • Driving key brand initiatives, on time and within budget, that deliver business/financial objectives.
  • Supporting the development of headroom analysis to influence annual operating plan and long-term strategic growth plan and deployment.
  • Working collaboratively with various agency partners and internal stakeholders to own and develop communication plans behind key brand activations, monitoring effectiveness and developing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Develop community-based, impactful marketing activations, ensuring our brands are embraced by South Asian Americans and positioning the independent trade channel for profitable growth and distinctiveness.
  • Manage media planning and deployment, with consideration of mix and ROI analysis of multicultural streaming/linear as well as digital media to ensure relevance and effective reach
  • Commercialization leadership and project management of key innovation and renovation initiatives through stage process steps in close partnership with key cross functional & executive stakeholders.
  • Collection and analysis of syndicated and internal data to create customer, consumer, competitive, category and brand insights, supporting the development and refinement of brand strategy and initiatives.
  • Development & tracking of growth levers (i.e., pricing, promotion, product, place, etc.) including recommendations to marketing & sales teams for optimization and implementation.
  • Collaboration with Sales (Independent Multicultural, Foodservice & Canada) and Director of Customer Marketing on input into sales planning and development of toolkits inclusive of sales material generation.
  • Collaboration with the Director of Customer Marketing to maximize brand communication and presence in-store, in a manner consistent with the brand strategy, with the support of customer & broker teams.
  • Overall management of the brand budget, including consolidation, reporting and delivery against plan.
  • This role plays a key management and engagement role for LT Foods via their leadership of a brand segment. A high degree of cross functional influence is required in this role and excellent working relationships with sales, operations, finance, and R&D. In addition, this role with interface with global counterparts on communication development, innovation, and product commercialization. They will also need to form good relationships with external agency partners and broker partners, to effectively execute and develop growth plans. This individual will also need a good understanding of marketing mix best practices, with an ability to pilot and evaluate new strategies and tactics in an entrepreneurial environment.Competencies

      • Bachelor's degree in related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant marketing experience
      • Experience leading cross functional teams
      • Ability to set and achieve goals and manage multiple projects and priorities
      • Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
      • Approximately 10% domestic travelPreferred Qualifications
        • Media mix development experience
        • Knowledge of the independent, multi-ethnic grocery trade channel
        • Experience of multicultural marketing to consumers
        • Demonstrated success on the CPG industry
        • Demonstrated success on one or more brands
        • Knowledge of/experience with a multi-cultural consumer & environment
