Manager PMO Planning & Governance for our client, a growing and
dynamic organization with a passion for its outstanding
recreational use and outdoor products. This is a direct-hire role
is based in Cypress, CA, and reports to the Vice President of
Information Services. The is a hybrid role.About the role---
The Senior Manager PMO Planning & Governance will directly
contribute to the success of the Office of the CIO (oCIO) / Program
Management Office (PMO) strategy. Senior Manager will be standing
up the oCIO, which will provide transparency around IT operations,
IT key metrics and KPIs, internal communications, executive
dashboards and presentations, monthly executive reporting, project
and portfolio tracking, and budget. Wil be responsible for:
--- Making decisions for the Planning & Governance group's
strategy, portfolio, governance, methodologies, processes,
compliance, reporting, and metrics. This includes group and
PMO/project portfolio and program dashboards, objectives, plan,
and/or other project deliverables, scope, schedule, and budget.
--- Leading an enterprise-scale, cross-functional team of PMO
information compliance and governance analysts to help implement
controls across information services and drive customer-centric
governance solutions across our products.Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or equivalent work experience.
--- 10+ years of experience in IT and business/industry.
--- 7+ years of leadership experience in managing, developing,
implementing, and maintaining 'Office of the CIO' (oCIO), PMO,
project management in support of information technologies and
processes.
--- 5+ years' work experience in large, cross-functional teams
influencing senior management and key stakeholders effectively
across the organization.
--- Extensive experience with oCIO and/or PMO, and project
management toolsets.
--- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of establishment of the
Planning & Governance functions, program and project management,
challenges, and ability to work independently and in teams.
--- Demonstrated success in providing project management
leadership, oversight, and guidance to meet corporate policies,
practices, and standards.
--- Cross-functional knowledge of IT technologies applied across
modern applications, infrastructure, cyber security, and
management.
--- Proven ability to collaborate with all IT groups including
management, applications, infrastructure, cyber security, executive
leadership, and business groups/departments.
--- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
--- Optimization and collaboration of project teams, and/or 3rd
parties or activities.
--- Resolution of program management challenges, risks, and
issues.
--- Escalation of program management issues to executive management
and/or key stakeholders.Preferred qualifications and skills:
--- MBA
--- Certifications (any of the following): Project Management
Professional (PMP), Certified Project Manager (CPM) or Certified
Scrum Master (CSM).
--- SAP ERP or other ERP portfolio experience
--- ServiceNow experienceSpecific duties include, but are not
limited to:
--- Collaborate with and persuade across, multiple areas with
Information Services leaders, executives, and other stakeholders
about the benefits of leveraging enterprise data, platforms, tools,
learnings, etc. to benefit the entire organization.
--- Partner with the Executive Leadership and Executive Sponsors to
communicate group goals, objectives, and potential outcomes.
--- Lead regular interactions with the executive sponsor and senior
leadership to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a solid
partnership and shared vision for the group and/or program
outcomes.
--- Bring proven, senior-level industry IT oCIO-like vision and
disciplines for IT Planning and PMO management to the role and have
strong technical expertise with various program and project
management methodologies, tracking disciplines, KPI
measurement/dashboards, and related technology products.
--- Responsible for effective and efficient delivery of PMO and
project management activities used to support business strategy,
initiatives, processes, and services across the enterprise.
--- Work proactively with various business units, Information
Services, and other key stakeholders in the delivery of services to
the company and the divisions and departments.
--- Establish and ensure appropriate governance functions for the
group or program, in accordance with enterprise policies and
practices, on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible
owner.
--- Align to business and Information Services Mid Term Plan (MTP),
Management By Objectives (MBO), Global IT Governance Committee
(GIGC), and North American Regional IT Governance (RIGC) direction,
goals and objectives.
--- Develop and control the Planning & Governance group budget and
manages expenditures within agreed spending plans.
--- Ensure and balance the availability of the required skills and
competencies across resources within the group.
--- Lead reviews with the executive sponsor and/or stakeholders to
identify expected or specific program needs, changes, and directs
the development of appropriate approaches to address.
--- Lead the development and maintenance of stakeholder
analysis/mapping, org change management, communications, and
reporting.
--- Oversee the execution of program projects, their progress
compared with the plan, and the production of agreed
deliverables.
--- Develop and manage resources, plan for the group, performance
management, program, projects, and provides direction and
oversight.
--- Direct or approve the establishment of a framework or
guidelines for the use of contractors, and professional service
providers, and determines their use across the program.
