KEY PURPOSE: The Director of Sourcing for Soft Goods and Hard Goods, will successfully develop and implement global sourcing strategies while maintaining design's aesthetic and achieving margin goals. Provide leadership direction within Speedo Supply. Develop and execute global strategies to improve and enhance Speedo's supply chain efficiencies. Drive improvement through operational excellence and measurable KPI enhancements. Build and empower a team that drives results and creates a culture consistent with Pentland values. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Successfully develop and lead our sourcing strategy
  • Responsible for managing a team thru coaching and continuous feedback to grow their skillset and partnerships with the cross functional teams.
  • Develop and strengthen relationship between Pentland global partners to guarantee success of the North America Speedo business and alignment of global strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Leverage data/KPI's to evaluate business with appropriate decision makers to ensure optimal performance, execution and compliance of Speedo and Pentland's goals
  • Lead management of fact-based cost negotiations on seasonal and carryover styles, with input from cross-functional teams as necessary
  • Lead as primary owner of vendor partnerships.
  • Develop playbook for continued development and calibration of vendors into strategic partners
  • Maintain awareness of existing vendor risk mitigation (financial solvency, capital expenditures)
  • Drive efforts to improve vendor performance related KPIs and compliance
  • Lead vendor capacity collaboration and negotiation with cross-functional teams
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with business partners, key vendors and suppliers to assess capabilities, capacity, growth, & long-range planning.
  • Direct development and implementation of a supply chain and costing process that takes advantage of duty and macro cost efficiencies for margin maximization.
  • Establish relationships with existing and potential agents, suppliers and vendors for optimal cooperation and partnership
  • Participate in escalation process as necessary QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
    • 10+ years minimum related experience; 5+ years in a leadership role
    • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business or equivalent.
    • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion)
    • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior leadership
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
    • MS Office
    • Cloud-based management software (PLM and/or ERP) proficiency
