Job Description:
ABOUT THE TEAM Anduril’s Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) is a
division with two missions: 1) build highly capable autonomous
drones, and 2) build solid rocket motors at scale. We transform
products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius from early concepts
into fully operational capabilities by partnering closely with
specialist engineering, operations, and production teams. Through
our Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team, we design and
manufacture solid rocket motors using advanced materials,
proprietary formulations, and high-volume production
methods—delivering safe, reliable propulsion systems that support a
wide range of mission requirements. TRS hires software engineers &
hardware engineers, who are excited to build across a diverse and
powerful portfolio—from autonomous aerial systems to
high-performance solid rocket motors. Our teams contribute to
highly capable autonomous robotics systems and propulsion products
that operate reliably in the most demanding mission environment.
ABOUT THE JOB As part of the larger Tactical Recon & Strike
division, the Precision Engagement Systems (PES) team at Anduril
develops aerial small drones (Group 1-2) and all equipment to test,
deploy and operate. The team is responsible for taking products
like Anvil and Bolt from paper sketches to operational systems. We
work in close coordination with specialist teams to solve some of
the hardest problems facing our customers. We are looking for
software engineers, hardware engineers, roboticists, and front-end
mobile developers who are excited about creating a powerful
robotics platform that can be tasked and viewed in real-time
through a variety of interfaces. We are seeking a highly
experienced and visionary Technical Program Manager to lead a
pivotal new program within our Precision Engagement Systems (PES)
business line. This is a unique opportunity to drive the end-to-end
development of one of our most critical, cutting-edge drone
platforms, integrating advanced autonomy and AI capabilities from
initial concept through to successful mass production. If you
thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are passionate
about shaping the future of intelligent hardware, we invite you to
join our innovative team. WHAT YOU’LL DO Lead the end-to-end
development of cutting-edge hardware products, guiding programs
from initial concept and ideation through all development phases to
successful mass production. Shepherd cross-functional engineering
teams (Hardware, Software, Firmware, Test) through the entire
product lifecycle, fostering a highly collaborative and
high-velocity development environment. Organize and manage
comprehensive system requirements, ensuring clarity, traceability,
and alignment across all engineering disciplines. Actively engage
with and manage critical external stakeholders, including key
suppliers and strategic customers, fostering strong relationships
and ensuring alignment. Partner closely with supply chain functions
(sourcing engineers, demand planning, supply chain management) to
optimize material flow, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery.
Drive program execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment,
adapting plans and processes to embrace agile and iterative
methodologies over traditional waterfall approaches. Utilize and
champion industry-standard program management tools such as JIRA,
Confluence, and Smartsheet to track progress, manage issues, and
facilitate transparent communication. Proactively identify, assess,
and mitigate technical and program risks, developing contingency
plans to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 5 years of progressive
experience in technical program management, specifically working
with both hardware and software engineering teams. A strong
background in hardware development programs, including familiarity
with hardware/software interaction, embedded systems, and software
infrastructure activities, with a proven track record of bringing
complex products from concept to mass production. Direct experience
with products integrating autonomy and AI capabilities, such as
drones, UAVs, robotics, or autonomous vehicles, is highly
preferred. Demonstrated ability to thrive and adapt in a very
fast-paced, fluid environment, where agility and iterative
development are key. Proven experience in managing complex system
requirements, from definition and organization to tracking and
validation. Extensive experience engaging with external entities,
including managing supplier relationships, contract manufacturers,
and customer technical interactions. Familiarity with supply chain
processes, including sourcing, demand/supply planning, and managing
material readiness for production. Exceptional communication
skills, with a proven ability to present complex technical problems
and program statuses clearly and concisely to executive leadership
and diverse stakeholders. Proficiency with modern program
management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence,
Smartsheet) is essential. Bachelor's degree in an Engineering
discipline is required; a Master's degree (e.g., MBA, M.S. in
Engineering) is highly preferred. Willingness and ability to travel
domestically and internationally up to 15%. US Salary Range
