Job Description:

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is actively seeking an Electrician for a 3-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion. Compensation: $41.00 per hour The main function of an electrician is to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. A typical electrician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining or repairing electrical equipment. Job Responsibilities: Measure, cut, and bend wired and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools. Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order. Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment. Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools. Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Technical degree or certification preferred. 8 years experience in electrical and mechanical Must hold a current Electrical Certification or C10 license Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license Basic maintenance skills, light plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, ability to operate HVAC controls Knowledge of 24 Volt, 48 Volt, 120 Volt, and 480 Volt Electrical Systems Knowledge of VFD’s, UPS’s, Generators, BAS’s, & Lighting Systems Self-starter with ability to work independently Excellent computer user skills are required (Microsoft systems) Excellent communications skills Strong work ethic and the ambition to be the best.
