We are looking for an Accounting Associate to join our Finance & Accounting Team. This key role supports team members in the North & South America Travel Corporation's family of brands.

Job Summary

This position manages all aspects of client reservations accounting: payments, refunds, adjustments, commissions, and disputes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Post daily cash receipts.
• Prepare bank deposits and reconcile records of bank transactions through the bank EDS system.
• Review and process credit card chargeback disputes and post refunds.
• Process Travel Agent commission checks and ACH payments.
• Review and analyze outstanding balance variances and communicate discrepancies to departments.
• Process requested booking adjustments.
• Collect and maintain vendor W-9 information.
• Assist with special projects reporting for Accounts Payable/Tour Cost Payables

  • 10-key by touch
  • Accounting software: Oracle, QuickBooks, Tropics, or Peachtree preferred.
  • Microsoft O365 and cloud-based data access and sharing software - Microsoft SharePoint needed.

    • Customer Service: Meet quality standards of customer service and evaluate customer satisfaction.
      • Collaboration & Communication: Actively look for ways to support the team. Develop constructive working relationships with colleagues at all levels. Provide information to the team in meetings and regular one-to-ones. Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers.
        
        Work Environment
        
        • Work location will be in Office in Cypress, CA.
          
          Pay Range
          
          • $20.00 - $23.00 an hour
            
            Experience and/or Education
            
            • Two years of previous accounting preferred.
            • Previous call center reservation experience preferred.
            • Working towards certification or degree in business/finance preferred
